Job Description
Cable Technician Job Summary:
SitePro Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Cable Technician for a local leading telecom company. This low voltage, cable installer role is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a dependable company that specializes in telecommunications and structured cabling!
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, configure and test security systems
- lead a team on project installs
- manage quality control and providing customer service
- Pull and route CAT5 or CAT 6 cable in a data center or new construction commercial environment
What we are looking for:
- A lead cable technician or cable installer with at least 4 years of structured cabling experience and 2 years experience as a lead
- Ownership of basic cabling tools and PPE: punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, safety glasses, etc.
- Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards a plus
- Must adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Must be familiar with standard color codes
