Job Description
The Quality Control Engineer (QCE) ensures adherence to project quality control plans, offering recommendations, implementing policies, and managing quality matters both on-site and in the office. This safety-sensitive role may involve supporting multiple projects.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- 1-2 years' experience in large commercial construction.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations.
Essential Duties:
- Liaise with the owner’s quality assurance team.
- Understand project specifications, standards, and codes.
- Participate in submittal reviews and weekly QC meetings.
- Conduct inspections and manage punch list processes.
- Maintain inspection records and initiate deficiency reports.
- Collaborate with trade partner QC personnel and oversee corrective actions.
- Coordinate third-party testing and source inspections.
