Job Brief
We are looking for a trained cable or communications technician to install, maintain, and repair data cabling, fiber, internet, and phone systems for commercial clients.
Duties include:
· Running cables, connecting wires, and installing new cable systems
· Installing equipment: Wireless Access Points, routers, switches and hubs
· Inspecting and troubleshooting: Identifying issues and solutions for cable and fiber networks, and troubleshooting current systems
· Setting up networks: Setting up networks and ensuring that all systems are functioning properly
· Termination and Labeling cable and fiber
· Testing cable and fiber: Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications
· Communicating with customers: Providing excellent service and communicating effectively with customers
· Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors
· Use hand and power tools, work in small spaces, and from various heights.
